Ruth Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot 2007

Ruth Vineyard. The winery was very accommodating and brought the wines to me. I want to thank them for that. Ruth Vineyard 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot blend was a HUGE surprise. When I first tried the wine, it was O.K., and worth the price. However, after leaving bottle open for several hours ( over 6 hours), the wine truly opened up. The Oak on the nose softens nicely with a hint of french terroir. The pallet enjoys herbaceous flavors while bursting with mature California style, fruit. The tannins are both soft and texturally impressive. The finish is short clean and concise. While I personally like a longer finish, that would not stop me from enjoying this wine. Well worth the 65 nis. Adam Neustadter
