The Cave, 2007: A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot, each variety vinified separately and oak-aged for 24 months before the blend was selected. Dark garnet in color, with a nose that bursts forth with blackberries and chocolate, opens in the glass to reveal full-bodied, with gently gripping notes of spicy wood that come together nicely with currant, blackberry and citru peel notes. On the moderately long finish appealing hints of licorice. Drink now-2014. Score 91. K
