Daniel Rogov- Golan Heights Winery, Rom, Yarden, 2007: Impenetrably dark garnet in color, with fine aromatics, a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% each of Syrah and Merlot. Full-bodied, with still firm tannins and generous wood but showing finely tuned balance that bodes well for the future. On first attack blueberries and spices, those followed by notes of black and red currants, red plums, citrus peel and dark chocolate. On the super-long finish, tannins and fruits rise along with hints of raspberries and red licorice. Approachable and enjoyable on release but best 2012-2020. Score 95. K
